| • President • Don L. Patterson The President shall preside at all meetings of the Council and of the Tribal Committee. He shall have general supervision of the affairs of the Council and the Tribal Committee and shall perform all duties appertaining to the office of President. | • Vice-President • James E. Schreen The Vice-President is empowered to act in the absence of the President, or during proceedings to remove him, the Vice-President shall perform the duties of that office. In case of vacancy, the Vice-President shall succeed at once to the office of President. |

As the Secretary Treasurer she
correctly records the proceedings of all the meetings. She makes out the order
of the business for the President, notifies all members of the committee of
their appointments. She has custody of the records and all papers of the
Council, which records and papers are open to inspection at any time, in her
presence, by any member of the Council desiring to read them. She keeps a
correct list of all members of the Council, authenticates all accounts and
orders of the Council. At the expiration of her term of office all the records
and papers in her possession shall be turned over to her successor. She issues
notices of all meetings and conducts all the general correspondence, as directed
by the Council or Tribal Committee. She is responsible for certifying Federal program financial documents and signing all checks for disbursement. In addition, she authorizes and approves all Federal, State and local grants, contracts, and agreements to include their budgets, goals, personnel, scope of work, evaluation plans, and assurances. She monitors and reports on investment accounts held by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
